Rhodamine 123 (RH-123, R-22420) is a fluorescent cationic dyeused to label mitochondriain living cells. Rhodamine 123 inhibits ADP-stimulated respiration of mitochondria with Ki = 12 μM and ATPaseactivity of inverted inner membrane vesicles with Ki of 126 μM and partially purified F1-ATPasewith Ki of 177 μM.
