PBIT is a specific inhibitor of the Jumonji AT-rich Interactive Domain 1 (JARID1)enzymes. It inhibits JARID1B (KDM5B/PLU1), JARID1Aand JARID1Cwith an IC50 of 3 μM, 6 μM and 4.9 μM respectively. It is capable of inhibiting the multiplication of breast cancer cell lines expressing high levels of JARIDB1.
