The DY-labels developed by Dyomics GmbH can be used in cDNA detection on microarrays, Real-Time qPCR FRET-based assays, DNA sequencing and FiSH microscopy.

The range of these dyes includes e.g. DY 782 which can be excited with infrared light allowing many new applications.

Other dyes (called Mega Stokes-Dyes) exhibit a large shift of fluorescence relative to the absorption (Stokes shift) see table below. These dyes are compatible with the use of Taqman® probes on Light cycler® Real-Time qPCR machine.
